It is the largest species of branchiosaur known to date. There were very few specimens found, and all were found at the Niederkirchen site (white conservation).

The amphibian is well centered on a 15,7 x 11.1 cm plate. Note the beautiful conservation of the bones, the good contrast between the amphibian and the matrix.
