It is the most rarest of the big shells from the Paris basin . For 100 big shells found , only one of them is a Campanile incomptum.
Name : Campanile incomptum ( 33 cm)
Age : Eocen, Lutetian stage
Location ( the place the fossil has been found ) : Damery, France
This fossil is outstanding in regard of it's size and conservation . One missing part of shell has been filled .
The shell has a size of 33 cm and is on it's original stone .The slab weights 2 kg and measures 36 x 17 cm .
The soft matrix has been stabilized as usual for this kind of fossil
