I picked it up from a high grade collection I recently bought (estate sale).
The fish itself measures 64 cm and is well centered onto a 68 x 20 cm slab. The slab has been brocken during digging work as digging conditions in Lebanon made that usual. Anyway it has been professionnaly reglued and skillfully prepared.

This specimen comes from an old collection and has been covered with a protective varnish.
Please note it has been professionally glued . The digging conditions make that the fossils are found while breaking the slabs. They are then glued and the fossil became revealed after removing the rock. Here some color has been applied onto the stone for hiding the glue lines.
Since the stone has been glued , it has been stabilized with resin + fiberglas as usual

Here is a very beautiful carapace fish of the Devonian. The plate measures 23 x 14.5 cm. The fish is in the state in which it was found. There is no restoration or added color. Part of the fin and the tail are visible. The fish measures 18 cm with the tail.

This is a beautiful specimen from a "classic" location now inaccessible.
